Step #4: Clean the injector

The resin tank injector could also be the source of your problems especially if it gets clogged. The next step is to run your softener via manual regeneration to relieve the water pressure. Finally, on the softener’s head, remove the caps on both sides and then thoroughly clean the injector and its screen before rinsing.

Step #5: Check for leaks from pipe connections

Finally, after you have completed all the above processes, carefully check for leakages in your softener’s water lines, tanks or any other components. While it’s possible for mistakes to be made during installation, always check the whole system for any faults and then proceed to fix or replace them.
